Don't Hide Your True Persona

Hi guys, this is Candice posting for you readers in this blog @o@ Today I will write about another game-based anime.  It's just one of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. This is none other than Persona 4!!!! O.O I've recently finished watching this anime and I would say it's quite hilarious (so hilarious that I literally fell to the floor laughing) with a very interesting and touching message. It also has very saddening episodes, though. Persona 4 is basically about a high school boy, Yu Narukami , transferring to a new school in a new town, where he will be living with his uncle, Ryotaro Dojima (a police detective), and little cousin, Nanako Dojima. This new town where he will live in is plagued with mysterious murders and kidnaps. Yu and his newly made friends, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Yukiko Amagi, discover a new world by watching the Midnight Channel and traveling through a television. They realize that this new world in a TV and the Midnight Channel is totally related to those mysterious murders and kidnaps. In this TV world they meet a bear, Kuma (in Japanese version; Teddie in English version), who lives in this world and helps them travel around it. In the TV world they will find Shadows, the suppressed feelings of people, and Yu and his friends must fight them and accept them as part of themselves then they become their Personas. That way they may summon their Personas anytime in the TV world to help them clear obstacles and solve the mysterious cases. Eventually they meet new friends, such as Kanji Tatsumi, Rise Kujikawa, and Naoto Shirogane (aka the Detective Prince), who likewise suffered from suppressing their emotions and, therefore, had gained their Personas by defeating their Shadows; now are all willing to find out who the culprit is. They eventually discover that these victims are taken to the TV world and can be seen on the Midnight Channel. They also discover that the victims had been previously featured in TV shows and news. Well, that's all I'm going to tell you about this anime, because I'm spoiling it enough for you. Now, I'll just tell you that there are two games: Persona 4 Golden (for PlayStation 2) and Persona 4 Arena (for PlayStation 3). Persona 4 Golden is almost the same as the anime but with some differences in the characters (the main protagonist - supposedly Yu Narukami - will receive a name given by the player, and there is another character, Marie, in the Velvet Room) and in the plot, or maybe the outcomes of it ( for example, depending on the actions the player takes the main protagonist may end up in an intimate relationship with any of the female characters - Chie, Yukiko, Rise, or Naoto). Persona 4 Arena is a fighting game. I'll be sharing an episode I consider one of the most hilarious. I will be sharing more of these funny episode later on. I don't own the videos, that means that credit goes to the respective owners. Enjoy ^_^

As a bonus I'm sharing this picture related to the episode shown above
